Teaching is a profession
that is superior to all other professions. Teachers need
to understand the subject in depth to convey its essence
to students. The goal is to establish a sound knowledge
base on which students will be able to build as they are
exposed to different life experiences. The passing of knowledge
from generation to generation allows students to grow into
productive members of society. Good teachers can translate
information, good judgment, experience and wisdom into relevant
knowledge that a student can understand, retain and pass
on to others.
One of the aspects of
Corporate Social Responsibility is to contribute towards
identifying and developing teachers who can bridge the gap
from good to great. We believe that a corporate should invest
in this area and play a role in Nation building. Therefore,
we have been conducting a 2 day training module for teachers,
“Adhunik Guru”, consistently during the last
4 years.
The objective is to sensitize
the high school teachers towards challenges faced by them,
students and the education system and helping them to understand
the changed perspectives in the current global scenario
about teacher-ship and compatible self- behaviors and techniques
of motivating students, teaching methodologies, creating
happy childhood, and handling emotions of the students.
Over last four years 300 teachers have benefited from this
program.
